Mt. Vesuvius is one of the most attractive volcanos in the world. It is internationally renowned for the 79 A.D. eruption, which destroyed the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae, causing fears and the death of millions of inhabitants.

From a distance, the Vesuvius seems to be harmless but when the brave tourist approaches near its crater, he/she feels the power of the “big Giant”.

Departing from Pompeii, you will reach an altitude of 1000 meters, and from the parking area you will reach the crater following a trekking path that usually takes 30 minutes. Once there, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples. The dropoff will be at Pompeii as well. At a distance the Vesuvius seems to be harmless but when the brave tourist approaches near it blazing crater, this experience reveals all the power of this big volcano.

The tour departs from Pompeii at the end of morning and this will allow you make a relaxing experience at the discovery of Mt.Vesuvius. After your pickup you will reach the National Park of the Mt. Vesuvius.

Once there enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay of Naples and ask the guides of the National Park to be introduced to the history and the myth of this volcano. 12:00 Pickup in Pompeii outside restaurant Fortuna Village

12:30 Drive up the slopes of the Mt Vesuvius and stop in a local restaurant with view of the bay of Naples

12:50-13:30 Wine tasting and lunch and drive up the slopes of the Mt. Vesuvius

13:30 Drive up to 1000 meters and reach the parking for buses

13:50-15:50 Free time to hike up the serpentine that reach the crater, time for the tour with a guide of the Mt. Vesuvius National Park.

16:00 Meet the bus at the parking

CANCELLATION – the customer can cancel the tour (free of charge) up to 12 hours before the booked service, after this deadline no refund will be allowed. Within 12 hours before the tour departure the customer can also ask for an amendment of her/his booking (changes are related to: meeting point, tour typology, number of participants, tour date, and so on).

The tour operator deserves the right to cancel the tour if the minimum number of participants has not been reached.

With reference to the tours including entrance fees (such as all tours including the visit of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius), these ones must be purchased in advance and in case of cancellation they would be not refunded.

NO SHOW – for all our tours it will be highly appreciated to show up at the agreed meeting place at least 10 minutes before the tour departure. In each meeting point our tour leader will wait only for 10 minutes, after this deadline the booking is considered as a customer no-show and no refund will be deserved.

In any case of delay, the customer must contact the emergency number +390817673273 and our customer service will help the customer to arrange a new pickup, if it will be possible.

LIABILITY – the tour operator is not liable for any loss of personal belongings. If the client has a train or a flight or a ship booked on the same day of the tour, it would be suggested to inform the tour operator to better manage the situation even if for all group tours the timetable cannot be subject to modifications. The tour operator is not responsible if customers miss a train, a flight or a ship. Given the scheduled time-sheet customers should be aware about the real possibility to enjoy the tour they booked for.
